Manage your boxes
Each box is a Linux machine with its own CPU, memory, disk and network, running around the clock. You manage it from its page in the dashboard: power, size, clones, reset and delete. One box is one Stripe subscription.

Box sizes
| Plan | vCPU | RAM | Disk | Network | Price a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Start | 2 | 4 GB | 50 GB | 50 Mbit | $19 |
| Pro | 4 | 8 GB | 100 GB | 100 Mbit | $35 |
| Max | 8 | 16 GB | 200 GB | 200 Mbit | $59 |
| Business | 8 | 16 GB | 300 GB | 300 Mbit | $149 |
| Business Plus | 16 | 32 GB | 600 GB | 500 Mbit | $299 |
Business plans add snapshots, priority support and company invoices. Billing covers what each plan includes and how Enterprise works. Docker, SSH, the browser terminal and the limits dashboard come with every size.
Create a box
Pick Create box, or press C anywhere in the dashboard. Choose the size, the agent and the name, then pay through Stripe Checkout. Start your first box walks through each step.
An account runs up to 5 boxes. Write to support to raise the limit.
Find your way around a box
Each box page has five views:
- Overview: live Resources (CPU, memory, disk, network, processes, uptime, refreshed every 5 seconds), Connect over SSH, Agent, When the agent stops and Recent activity.
- Terminal: the browser terminal with the box's tabs.
- Snapshots: rollback and checkpoints on Business plans.
- Previews: listening ports, preview links and shared files.
- Settings: Pages the agent opens, Service keys, Size and billing, and Reset or delete.
Start, stop and restart a box
The buttons at the top of the box page start, stop and restart it.
- Stop ends every running process. Files, Docker images and volumes stay on the disk.
- Start brings the box back. Your tabs return to the list, and opening one starts its agent again.
- Restart reboots a running box.
A stopped box keeps its disk and its subscription, so billing runs on while it is stopped.
Change the size
- Pick Change size on Overview or under Settings → Size and billing.
- Pick the new plan.
- Pick Switch now for a bigger plan, or Switch at period end for a smaller one.
Bigger applies now, and Stripe charges the difference for the rest of the month. Smaller applies from the next billing period.
A smaller plan also means a smaller disk. Everything stored must fit by the switch date, or the switch is refused. The dialog shows the new disk size and the date. To cancel a scheduled switch, open the dialog again, pick your current plan and confirm with its Keep button.
Clone a box
A clone is a new paid box with a copy of this box's disk. The source keeps running while it is copied.
- Pick Clone at the top of the box page.
- Keep the suggested name,
<box>-copy, or type your own. - Pick any plan with room for the data. Plans that are too small are greyed out.
- Pick Clone for $19 / month. The price follows the plan. Stripe Checkout opens.
The disk is copied the moment the payment lands.
| Comes along | Stays behind |
|---|---|
| Files, installed tools, Docker images and volumes | Subscriptions, Sallyport access, share links. The copy connects its own |
A clone starts with no snapshots. The box page shows Copy of with the source's name until you reset the clone.
Reset a box
Reset erases the disk and rebuilds the box from the current detachbox image.
- Open Settings and find Reset or delete.
- Pick Reset box.
- Type the box name to confirm, then pick Reset box again.
SSH keys and connected accounts are put back on their own. Everything else on the disk is gone, snapshots included. Previews turn private again and share links stop working. A reset can't be undone.
Reset also moves an older box onto the newest image.
Delete a box
- Open Settings and find Reset or delete.
- Pick Delete box.
- Type the box name to confirm, then pick Delete box again.
The box, its disk and its tabs are erased, and its subscription is cancelled right away. There is no prorated refund for the rest of the month. Deleting can't be undone.
To keep the box until the end of the paid month instead, cancel the subscription in the billing portal. Billing explains how.

Planned node reboots
Boxes share a kernel on their node, and the node reboots for kernel updates. You get an email 48 hours ahead of a planned reboot.
- Files, Docker images and volumes survive.
- Boxes start again on their own.
- Running processes and tmux sessions start fresh. Open the terminal and start the agent again.
Where boxes run
Boxes run in Kazakhstan, on our own hardware. Each box is an unprivileged system container with its own user range, with Docker running inside.
Boxes can't see each other. Private networks and outbound mail on port 25 are blocked. Each box reaches the internet at its plan's speed. Details on /security.
See what happened to a box
Recent activity on Overview shows the last five events of the box. Pick All activity for the full log. Activity in the sidebar lists every start, stop, reset, size change and sign-in change on your account, with exact times.
