Questions before you start a box

Nothing stops. The tab was a window onto a tmux session on your box. Open the dashboard from any browser or phone, or ssh in, and you land in the same session with the scrollback intact.

Yes. Docker Engine and the compose plugin are installed, you are in the docker group and you have sudo. Images and volumes count toward your plan's disk.

Up to 10 tabs per box. Run several boxes, each on its own plan, and mix sizes as you like.

Boxes are CPU machines with up to 8 vCPU and 16 GB. They run agents, builds, test suites, databases and data jobs.

No. Claude Code and Codex run on the subscriptions you already pay for. Connect them in the dashboard, or sign in inside the box the way you do on your laptop.

Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, and Claude Code on Z.ai or DeepSeek with your own key. Pick one per box; switch on the box page any time.

An agent that stops to ask permission at 2 a.m. finishes nothing. The box is a sandbox you can reset, so every CLI ships in its no-prompt mode.

Your refresh token stays encrypted on our server and never reaches the box. The box gets an access token for the CLI. Disconnect the account and we delete its tokens from our server and from every box that used it.

detachbox is an independent service. Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Gemini CLI come preinstalled as their makers ship them, under their own terms.

ssh [email protected] with a key you added in the dashboard, pasted or imported from GitHub. Port forwarding with -L works.

Bind the dev server to 0.0.0.0 and open https://<port>-<box>.detachbox.dev. Previews are private to you until you make a port public.

Yes. The dashboard and the terminal open in your phone's browser, and Claude Code Remote Control and Happy are preinstalled on every box.

A box belongs to one person. Give each teammate a box of their own; at $5 it costs less than the argument over whose agent is eating the CPU.

When the box starts, then every month on that date, in USD through Stripe. One box is one subscription.

Every box is paid, so the CPU you pay for stays yours: free tiers fill up with crypto miners. Start at $5 and cancel from the dashboard whenever you like; the box stays yours to the end of the month.

The new CPU, memory and disk land on the running box right away, and Stripe charges the difference for the rest of the month.

In the dashboard, through the billing portal. The box keeps running to the end of the month you paid for.

Pay any time within 14 days and the box starts again with everything on it. Stripe retries the card meanwhile. The box stops on day 3 and is deleted on day 14. You get an email at each step and three days before deletion.

Files, Docker images and volumes stay. Your box starts on its own; running processes and tmux sessions start fresh. Planned reboots come with 48 hours' notice by email.

In Kazakhstan, on our own hardware. Central Asia gets the lowest ping; everywhere else, the agent works on the box, so distance only touches your keystrokes. Anyone, anywhere can sign up.

It rebuilds the box from the current clean image and erases everything on it. Your SSH keys and connected accounts come back on their own.
