Terminals list and notifications
The Terminals page lists every agent of every box, with the ones that need you on top. Notifications ping you when an agent asks a question, finishes or stops on a limit. On a phone or in Telegram, one tap answers the agent.

See every agent in one list
Open Terminals from the sidebar, or press G then T. Each row shows the agent, the box, and the tab number and name. It also shows the last activity and the last line on the screen. Tap a row to open that tab.
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Needs you | The agent asks a question or waits for your permission |
| Working | The agent is busy |
| Done — ready for the next task | The agent finished and waits for a new task |
| Idle | Nothing runs |
| Stopped on the limit | The subscription ran out. The row says when it resets or resumes |
| Stopped to keep your reserve | The box stopped at the reserve you set on the account |
The counts bar at the top filters the list by state. On a phone, swipe right to go back.
The same list opens next to any dashboard page. Press Ctrl+` to show or hide it.
How detachbox knows what an agent does
The server checks every running box every 15 seconds. A row says where its state came from:
- Reported by the agent. Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and OpenCode report their state through hooks set up in the image.
- Read from the screen. For anything else, the server reads the tab. Output in the last 5 seconds counts as working.
An agent that waits for a Vault approval shows Approve in Sallyport on its row.
Choose what pings you
Open Notifications and pick the events under What pings you:
- Needs you: the agent asks a question or waits for your permission.
- Done: the agent finished and waits for the next task.
- Stopped on a limit: a subscription ran out. The ping says when it resets.
- Resumed: the tab works again after the limit reset.
Each ping names the box and the tab, and opens the terminal in one tap.
Get pings in your browser or on your phone
- Open Notifications in the browser or on the phone that should get pings.
- Under Where pings go, pick Turn on for this browser.
- Allow notifications when the browser asks.
Pings arrive even with the dashboard closed. On an iPhone, add detachbox to the Home Screen first and open it from there, as Phone shows. Browsers that get pings lists every device. Pick Stop pings to a device to remove it.
Get pings in Telegram
- Pick Link Telegram. The detachbox bot opens in Telegram.
- Press Start in the bot. The dashboard picks up the link by itself.
Pings then arrive on every device where you use Telegram, with the agent's choices as buttons. Pick Unlink to stop them.
Get pings by email
Email is the safety net. A ping goes out by email only if you haven't seen it in 10 minutes. Several pings arrive as one letter.
Answer an agent from the ping
When the agent shows a menu, the ping carries its choices as buttons, such as 1, 2, 3, y or n, next to Open.
- Tap a choice. detachbox types it into the tab, and nothing opens.
- An answer works for 30 minutes after the ping.
- detachbox types the answer only while the tab still shows the same question. A stale answer is refused, so it never lands in the wrong prompt.
Telegram shows the same choices as buttons under the message. A ping for a Sallyport call carries Approve and Open. Approval itself happens on Sallyport's page.
Hold pings at night
- Under Quiet hours, switch on Hold pings at night.
- Set From and To.
Quiet hours run in your time zone, shown on the page. Nothing is sent during quiet hours. The terminals list still shows every agent that waits.
Send a test ping
Pick Send a test ping to see how a ping looks on each channel you turned on. Test pings ignore quiet hours.
What a ping carries
A ping carries the box, the tab, the state and one line from the screen. Your prompt and the rest of the screen never leave the server.
The same state of the same tab within a minute counts as one ping. You get at most 60 pings an hour across all channels.
Browser tab alerts
The terminals list also offers Notify me when an agent needs me. It alerts you while the dashboard tab is open but hidden. Pings from Notifications reach you with the dashboard closed.
