What a persistent terminal gets you

Runs that outlive the browser
The agent's process lives on the box. Closing the browser closes a window onto it and nothing more.
Any device, same session
Laptop, phone, a borrowed computer or plain SSH: you land in the same tmux session with the scrollback intact.
Ten tabs per box
Keep the agent, a shell, the dev server and the logs in separate tabs. Rename them, close them, open new ones.
Reconnects on its own
Drop the connection and the terminal reconnects by itself. tmux holds the session through our own deploys.

Questions about this

Does the session survive a closed laptop?

Yes. The session runs on the box. Your laptop only drew it on the screen.

Can I attach to the same session over SSH?

Yes. SSH into the box and run tmux attach. The browser and your SSH client show the same session, side by side if you like.

What does a reboot take with it?

Running processes and tmux sessions. Files, Docker images and volumes stay, and the box starts on its own. Planned reboots come with 48 hours' notice.
